Anne PlummerAnne Plummer studied A Level Art while at 6th form. Went to Bristol to Study Manufacturing Systems Engineering, which took me away from art for a few years, but the drawing and sketching kept going. After graduation a move to rural Essex took me back towards painting. Life next to the water I started to paint more seriously and sell works. Sailed to Cornwall for an extended cruise, (stayed for 12 years); the Cornish landscapes and rivers have been influencing my work since.
My work tended towards illustration and I felt ready for a change. I Introduced myself to Chris Insoll at the New Gallery in Portscatho, with Chris’s guidance and his knowledge my art works progressed quickly over the years I was often painting in and around Portscatho. I had a Studio at Blewetts Wharf in Truro. This has given access to much needed space and the ability to tackle more ambitious works.
Now back in Suffolk, I show my work at the Pinmill Gallery on the beautiful River Orwell and have recently joint the Dedham Art & Craft Centre. I organise the Co-op Art Class in Ipswich running art workshops for all abilities over a wide range of topics.
